The child of refugees, Shalinee Sharma has always been passionate about universal access to an excellent education. She deeply believes all children can learn math. Before co-founding Zearn, she spent much of her career at Bain working on education, technology and consumer-facing products. Shalinee attended Brown and Harvard Business School.
Sarah is passionate about school, learning and technology. She has always loved puzzles and nuance. Before co-founding Zearn, Sarah worked at Music Gremlin, an early wireless digital music hardware and software company and at Bain. Sarah graduated from Harvard College and Harvard Law School.
Chief Technology Officer
With a deep passion for math and computer science, Chris Wong walked away from Silicon Valley to apply his skills to education equity. Before co-founding Zearn, Chris worked on digital education games and platforms for 5 years. Chris has a BS and MEng in Computer Science from MIT.
Jabali served as the Founding Principal of Excellence Boys. He earned a B.A. from Oberlin College and his Ed.M. from Columbia Teachers College.
Chief Academic Officer
Stephanie Ely taught children, teachers, and leaders in Newark, Brooklyn, and Milwaukee before co-founding Zearn with the dream of using technology to teach the world. A philosopher at heart and in study, Stephanie deeply believes all children can learn math. She attended Colgate University and has a M.Ed. in Educational Leadership.
LeighEllen worked in Operations at Uncommon Schools. She earned her B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.
George was a Consultant at ZS Associates. He earned a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Emily has spent over 10 years designing interactive experiences. She earned her B.A. from Clark University.
Chief Product Officer
Leigha Donovan first discovered the joy and wonder of math in her 8th grade algebra class, the most magical 40 minutes of her 8th grade day. She has always been passionate about media, technology and education. She has a degree in Statistics from University of Pennsylvania and a MBA from Harvard.
Fernanda was a Senior Analyst at MMG Partners. She earned a B.A. at the University of Pennsylvania.

Sarah studied dance and theater at North Carolina School of the Arts before attending The Institute for Culinary Education in New York.
Andrea has experience working in theatre production and at Bain & Company in a Knowledge Specialist role. She earned a B.A. from Trinity University.

Gwen was a Math Curriculum Developer at Highline Academy Charter School. She earned a B.S. from Colorado State University-Pueblo.

Lisa is a former fourth grade teacher at Excellence Girls Charter School. She earned a B.A. in Philosophy from Northwestern University and an M.A.T. from Relay Graduate School of Education.
Rachel Feld was a founding teacher and grade level chair at THRIVE Academy, a KIPP School in Newark. She earned her B.A from Bucknell University.
Alex was a middle school math teacher. She earned a B.A. from Barnard College and an M.A.T. from Relay Graduate School of Education.
Polymath in Residence
A refugee at 7, Fabian Tabibian decided young that the world had no boundaries. Fabian is a fine artist and a Skowhegan fellow. He has spent 20 years in interactive design leading work for Sea World, MLB Players Association, Viacom and NASA. He earned an MFA from Hunter College.
Heather worked in healthcare. She earned a B.S. from Stony Brook University.

Shirin was an analyst with the NYC Department of Education. She earned a B.S. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.A. from Columbia University.

Ashley Birsic has been a math, science, and problem-solving enthusiast since she was a child. This love of problem solving pushed Ashley to an initial career in Chemical Engineering. Ashley also spent time at Bain where she put problem solving to work across a wide range of industries. Ashley attended University of Florida and Harvard Business School.
Senior Software Engineer
Julie came to love math as a child when trying to beat the cash register to total the grocery bill. She has been a software architect and engineering manager. She earned a B.A. in mathematics from Harvard.
Perri is a Kindergarten Teacher at KIPP Infinity Elementary School in Harlem, NY. She earned a B.A. from Connecticut College and her M.A.T from Relay School of Graduate Education.
Ambrosia is a First Grade Lead Teacher at Excellence Girls Charter School in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her B.A. in Sociology and Education from Bryn Mawr College, and her Masters of Arts in Teaching from Relay School of Graduate Education.
Andy earned a B.S. from the University of Washington where he worked at the Center for Experimental Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics.

Tucker was previously a Product Lead at Monitor 360 and he got a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University.
Neena Lalchandani loves to solve problems big and small with math reasoning. She spent time at Bain as well as startups in the payment technology space. Neena has a degree in Accounting from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Harvard.
Len is an Experience Designer specializing in digitally enhanced live experiences. Many of his past projects utilize mobile and other digital devices within a physical context, such as technology-assisted retail, fitness, or education.
With over 12 years in the interactive design industry, Gretta has created award winning digital experiences at agencies including R/GA, Organic and Deutsch Inc. She earned a B.A. in Media Study and Digital Art from the University of Buffalo.
Polina got her B.S. in Accounting and Finance from Babson College. She began her career as an auditor at KPMG, and got a taste of the entrepreneurial spirit when working in the venture capital space. Polina is excited to apply her accounting and finance experience to the education technology space.
Paul was previously an Accounting Associate at Affinity Solutions and he got a BBA in Finance from Baruch College.
Meredith graduated with a BS and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, but spent most of her free time there running an early literacy tutoring program.
